Vaishno Devi Temple in Haridwar

This is similar to the original Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu.

Though it is only 10 years since the construction of the temple, it has gained popularity because of its architecture. It is also believed that the Goddess blesses only those who truly seek the blessings. The deities in moola roopa are Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Kali and Goddess Saraswati. It is believed that all three Goddess together became Vaishno Devi in order to kill the demon Mahishasura. Since, everyone cannot travel to Jammu for her darshan, the pilgrims who are fond of her has constructed this temple at Haridwar, one of the seven famous pilgrim city of India.

Apart from Kumbh Mela, the temple celebrates many festivals like Basant Panchami, Makar Sankaranti, Ganga Dussera, etc with great pomp and show.

Always ideal time to visit Haridwar is from October to March, since it will be extremely hot during summer. They do not charge any entry fee and the pets are not allowed. The temple is opened from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on all days including the Public holidays. Ideal for God Lovers and Nirvana Seekers!

How to Reach Vaishno Devi Temple in Haridwar


From Haridwar railway station head towards Nirmala Chhwani Road and turn left at north-west on Purusharthi market road, turn right at Surendra Provision Store towards bypass road and Pass by Mela Hospital on the right and at 3.2 Km continue onto the roundabout take the second exit at 1.4 Km and turn right at 170 m, and turn right At 170 m, turn left, at 36 m turn left at 7m and turn right at the 19 m and you will find the Vaishno Devi Temple on the right. This is totally 5.1 Kms from the railway station and takes 9 minutes to reach. From the railway station one can either take taxis or buses to reach the temple.
